March 21, 2026 update. Users, marketing, and what comes next
Hey everyone, Angel here with a quick update on what we've been up to.
Since the last post we've onboarded more users, read every bit of feedback we could get, and spent a lot of time fixing bugs and polishing the product. A few friends of ours really know their way around personal finance, and they've been a huge help stress-testing edge cases we might not have caught on our own. If you wrote in or joined recently, thank you. We're a small team, and that kind of input actually changes what we prioritize.
Marketing for a team of two
For the past few weeks we've leaned hard into getting the word out. We're posting on various social media platforms trying to put Copia in front of people who want a cheaper budgeting experience.
The honest tradeoff is we're only two people. To give marketing the attention it needs, we've had to slow down on some feature work for a little while. That's not forever, it's us being realistic about bandwidth.
What's on the roadmap
Real mobile apps. We're working toward true native apps on iOS and Android, listed in the App Store and Google Play, not just a responsive web experience. That's a big lift for a tiny team, but we hear you. A budgeting app lives on your phone, and we want Copia to feel at home there.
A free way to try Copia. We're also planning to offer something at no cost so people can explore the app before committing. We're still deciding on the shape of that. It might look like free trials that include bank syncing, or a free tier built around manual entry if that fits our costs and sustainability better. We'll share specifics once we've nailed the details.
Thanks for following along. If you're using Copia and have feedback, or you're waiting on mobile or a free tier, we're listening. You can find us on Discord.
