First Developer Update

Angel DavilaAngel Davila2 min read

Hello! This is our first developer update since the origin story we published on September 16th. Moving forward, we're planning to share updates every two weeks so you can follow along as we build Copia.

Copia Updates

Sync Improvements

Sync improvements with plaid mainly when handling pending vs posted transactions.

Category Changes

Changes to "Category". Before we were seeding our databases with all of the available plaid categories and subcategories. We are changing it to now store transactions under Copia's default categories.

Hotkeys

Hotkeys! We are starting with the first hotkey which is escape on the keyboard, it allows you to navigate back.

Stripe Integration

Started to scope out the work for stripe integration.

Inline Transaction Tags

Transaction tags can now be added inline.

Transaction Flyout

Transaction flyout. The transaction details page is now a flyout that fly's out to the right of the screen. Before we had the transaction detail opening up under the line item, in an accordion. Moving it to the left in a flyout has made things look and feel so clean.

Website Updates

Blog Images

We can now add images to our blog posts! This makes it much easier to show what we're working on.

Mobile Responsiveness

We fixed mobile responsiveness issues on the blog and roadmap pages so they work better on phones and tablets.

Team Updates

Dillon and I have been working together on Copia, and we're excited to share more about the team on the about page soon.

We also created a Discord server that will be open to the public soon. It's a great way to stay connected and share feedback as we build.
